At Le Prince Noir we are in the heart of one of the foremost wine-producing areas of France, so during your stay you may wish to enjoy tasting some of our local Bergerac, or Duras wines, or even travel a little further towards Bordeaux. We are surrounded by vineyards, producing wines to suit all tastes. We will be happy to arrange wine-tasting visits to vineyards with English-speaking owners.
Included in your rental price is a chauffeur driven visit to a nearby vineyard where we will introduce you to Monsieur Tatard – the owner, who will be pleased to offer you a tasting of his range of wonderful wines. He is a Frenchman of great charm, who speaks perfect English! He is happy to share his extensive knowledge of wines, based on his years of experience as a vigneron and he speaks with passion about his wines and wine-production. You will also have the opportunity to rent a row of vines on an annual basis, offering you a guaranteed supply of top quality wine at a greatly reduced price. Take some of the French sunshine with you back home, to brighten up those long grey winter evenings!
When you book a Wine-tasting Week, a complimentary bottle of Bergerac wine will be waiting for you in your gîte – so you can enjoy a taste of what’s to come!
