Are you a cycling family?
We have a selection of good quality well-maintained lightweight
bikes available for hire, a wide range of sizes, including some small frames for children. The bikes are fully equipped with puncture repair outfit,
pump, water bottle and optional (recommended) safety helmet. We also have a top of the range Cannondale Tandem available for hire to experienced cyclists.
Trek Navigator all-terrain bikes:
Light weight aluminium bikes suitable for road or off-road riding, with a wide range of gears. These bikes can be fitted with pannier racks, for those who want to do some touring.
New for 2008! Road Bikes for hire:
We now have two brand new GIANT SCR3 Road Bikes for hire. These are fully equipped, with aluminium frames and carbon forks. Sizes small and medium. Great for the keen cyclist who is unwilling to put his racing bike on the plane.
Cannondale Tandem:
Top of the range aluminium tandem, with front disc brake. Available for hire to experienced cyclists.
Tag-along Bike for children between 4 to 8 years.
Airport Transfers: We can provide pick up and drop off at Bergerac Airport with your bikes. Reserve this when you book your holiday.
Bike Specifications: Detailed specificatione with photos of the bikes are available, ask us to send you details.

We can provide you with a carefully planned route if you wish, and a detailed route card, giving options on distance, type of terrain, restaurants to eat at and local places of interest for sightseeing visits on your ride. This is all included in the price of your holiday!
ARE YOU A RACING OR TOURING CYCLIST?
For the enthusiastic regular cyclist, or for racing cyclists developing their training programme, when staying at Le Prince Noir we can
provide a base for your cycle tour, or the ideal place to make significant
progress with your pre-season training. You can be entirely independent , or there is help and advice available if you wish.
The quiet country lanes through the undulating Bergerac vineyards offer a huge range of routes which can be as steady or as challenging as you like. Gordon has a lifetime of cycling
experience and will be pleased to recommend routes over a variety of
terrain and distance to suit your needs.
You can “get the miles in your legs”, and those with families can relax in the knowledge that they will be content relaxing around the pool or taking advantage of the many leisure activities nearby.
Group Cycling Holidays

are happy to cater for cycling groups, so why not get some of your cycling

deals for groups, which will include afternoon tea with Jane’s

GUIDED & SELF-GUIDED CYCLE TOURS IN DORDOGNE
We can offer you fully-guided and self-guided tours with experienced, bi-lingual guides and mechanics. Working together with Wildcat Adventures UK who have been providing adventure holidays in Morocco, Mongolia, Scotland, Peru & mainland Europe for over 20 years, we have planned an 8 days Cycling Touring holiday through the Dordogne.
THE CHATEAUX & VINEYARDS ROAD CYCLE TOUR.

The start and end of your holiday is spent relaxing at Le Prince Noir, with optional bike rides and outings planned to local vineyards and chateaux . You then begin a 4-day cycle tour on quiet, country roads ( average 25 miles per day) to discover the beauty and history of the Dordogne valley, visiting quaint French villages and magnificent chateaux. Your luggage is transferred each day to your overnight accommodation in comfortable auberges specialising in traditional French cuisine. SELF-GUIDED TOUR:
From May to September you can do the chateaux and vineyards tour independently on a self-guided basis. We provide you with a detailed route, with a choice of two different routes.
Tour A: 25 miles a day.
Tour B: 40-45 miles a day.
Your accommodation is booked for you in comfortable French Auberges, and your luggage transferred as on the fully-guided Tour, or you can be fully independent and cycle with panniers.
Your Self-guided Tour starts and ends on a Saturday at Le Prince Noir. The cycle tour ( 4 days/ 3 nights) and one week's gite rental is all included in your holiday price. A second week's self-catering gite holiday at Le Prince Noir, either side of your Self-guided Tour can be booked at a discount price - please ask us for details & availability.
