At the Le Prince Noir we have indulged our love of classic cars and we have begun a collection of both English and French Classics. Gordon’s first love is his MGB in racing green, and the quiet country lanes of Dordogne are just perfect. Driving through the vineyards with the roof down and the warm sun on your face!

As members MG Owner’s club; the Citroen 2CV club; and Midget and Sprite Owner's club, of the UK, we are pleased to welcome any classic car owners to stay with us and we can offer lots of secure parking and shared enthusiasm.

We also have two typically French Classic cars, which are available for our guests to use and enjoy a unique French experience. “Dolly” our Citroen 2CV is perfect to take for a picnic or perhaps for an outing to one of our local French country markets! With a canvas roof that folds right back you can enjoy the sunshine & the pleasures of open-air motoring!

Or why not take “Buttercup” our Renault 4 out for the day? She is a car of great character and is perfect to take on a shopping trip to visit some of the local Brocantes and browse amongst the old French antiques. Or perhaps make a visit to some of the beautiful chateaux in the Perigord region, which are less then an hour’s drive away. The magnificent, fairy-tale spires of Chateau Montbazillac, or the impressive grandeur of Chateau Biron – to arrive there in Buttercup would make it a truly memorable French holiday experience. All our guests who have driven one of our 2 quirky French cars have come back to us smiling!

We can provide you with a picnic lunch, if you order it in advance, so that you can spend the whole day discovering the attractions that the Dordogne has to offer. Or you may decide to try one of the many excellent restaurants in the area which specialise in the wonderful traditional cuisine of the Perigord, a region rich in gastronomic delights.

Terms and Conditions All the cars for hire are covered by comprehensive insurance, and are subject to age restrictions etc. – details on request. Don’t forget to bring your driving licence with you.
