Le Pète Lèbre is a beautifully converted stone –built barn , typical of the area with it’s white limestone walls and wonderful wooden beams. Built in the 1800s, at the same time as the farmhouse, with its south-facing terrace, it oozes charm & character. There is a spacious split-level living/ dining area, with the traditional exposed beams and stonework of the original barn being used to full advantage and the old fireplace is a central feature. The design of the lounge area divides naturally into different living areas where everyone can have their own space – this an ideal gîte for a growing family or larger group.
The two French windows give easy access to the gardens and one leads out to the private (south-facing) terrace, overlooking the swimming pool. There we’ve provided plenty of outdoor furniture with a parasol, and all the necessary equipment to eat all your meals outside if you wish - there’s a gas barbecue. The terrace is gated for safety, and it’s a perfect place to catch the gentle morning sun.
For children: A highchair and a cot is available by arrangement. We also provide a selection of toys, games & books in your gîte. There are eating utensils etc. for the children – to make life easier for families staying with us. You will find the play area is well-equipped with swings and climbing frame. For younger children there is a baby swing & paddling pool available on request.
We provide a Starter Pack in your gîte with a range of food items, such as milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, and freshly baked bread to save you shopping before you arrive.
We can also offer Arrival Meals - a home-cooked, pre-prepared meal waiting for you in the fridge of your gîte, for you to serve yourself on the evening of your arrival. So you don’t even have to think about food after your journey!
Arrival meals need to be ordered in advance, contact us after booking for more information including any special dietary requirements,
There’s a free bottle of wine with each Arrival Meal – with our compliments!
